Finding a New Normal

Well, I was off to a good start. I was actually writing blogs, keeping up with social media and then it fell apart. Why? A perfect storm really. Well, primarily that jerk Covid-19 mixed with actual storms. It's been a crazy six weeks or so in my household and we're some of the lucky ones.
In the beginning of March my hubby began working from home, my youngest (now 7.5 months) learned to MOVE, which drastically and rapidly changed her relationship and interactions with her big sister. The first four weeks of our newfound social isolation found us trapped in the house under dark gloomy skies and flash flood warnings. Then we got sick, a strange virus with some very suspicious symptoms (untested). All this in my rather small 850 sq ft. house that we were all suddenly occupying all together... at all times.
The theme of the month has been "adjustment." Nothing is broken, but perhaps a bit bent. We're hammering it out, and we're still very lucky. I count my blessings that my husband is employed, our sickness stayed mild, and that our loved ones have so far remained safe. That being said, Ya'll. Me, a 7 month old, a threenager and a hubby who is a manager and thus in zoom meetings ALL DAY in a house with no office is madness. Madness. He is currently banished outside for a meeting or two in an effort to balance the household a bit.
As a lot of you, I've been running through a lot of ups and downs. Worry, sadness, fear and even moments of joy. I have just this week started to feel the new flow of things and have the mental energy to take on the blogging again. That's my excuse and I'm sticking to it! (I think it's a pretty good excuse, personally.)
So, please forgive the absence. Coming up next is a post all about what I learned starting my garden from seed this year, Boy did I learn a lot (and maybe curse a few times.)
Looking forward to talking to you soon,
Stay safe, love each other,
Bethany
